Contract Logistics
Contract logistics is the process by which large manufacturers or distributors outsource the flow of products or materials from raw materials to the final consumer, including all stages other than production, through strategic partnerships with logistics companies.
This process is carried out with companies that have not yet started production or are planning to change their production location, production method or capacity. Contract logistics requires a long-term collaboration to design supply chain processes for the first time or to renew and improve existing processes.
Since it is often not possible for manufacturing companies to manage this process alone, the support of a logistics company is required. This collaboration requires the involvement of an expert organization that will ensure effective communication between the logistics company and the manufacturer or wholesaler. This organization should act as a bridge between the parties by offering suggestions to create a common language and harmonization between groups with different areas of expertise.
