“As Dinçer Lojistik, we attach great importance to digitalization, and we believe that we have caught the digitalization trend early, which has become the most important agenda item all over the world and in all sectors. With the hackacthon and demoday events we organize every year, we aim to capture new smart logistics trends and technologies that will determine the future of the sector while laying the foundations of a strong community of university students, young entrepreneurs and software developers.”
Aims to be in 81 provinces and abroad
Octovan Founder Erhan Güneş announced that Octovan Express plans to expand its XL delivery service, which it currently offers in 5 major cities in Turkey, first to 81 cities and then abroad by taking the power of Dinçer Lojistik with it. Expressing that Octovan Express has made an operational strategic partnership with Dinçer Lojistik in order to move a rapidly growing structure, which has previously provided operational services on the XL logistics side, to a scalable model through its technology infrastructure in this field, Güneş continued as follows:
“Thus, the technology infrastructure of Octovan Express will be used by Dinçer Lojistik operational teams. In this way, Octovan Express will be able to serve quickly in 81 provinces. With Octovan Express technology, the premium logistics product service network will expand thanks to Dinçer Lojistik’s operation network on the operational side. In summary; Dinçer’s operational infrastructure power, flexible structure, vehicle and warehouse network and Octovan’s technology, customer integrations, customer management and route optimization infrastructure will create a perfect XL service. These 2 forces will jointly establish a structure that can provide B2B and B2C services that a customer needs. In this way, the customer portfolio and service capacity of both Dinçer Lojistik and Octovan will expand.”
Stating that they want to make Octovan a brand that goes abroad from Turkey, makes strategically correct partnerships and is a technology provider in the field of service, Güneş said, “We aim to be one of the brands with the highest market share in a market of more than 60 billion dollars. We would like to thank Dinçer Lojistik for its support on this path.”
Premium service
Explaining that Octovan Express is a brand that carries out the delivery of high-volume products such as furniture, white goods, bathroom materials of suppliers selling through e-commerce and stores from their warehouses to the end customer, Güneş said, “We are one of the few companies that perform XL delivery service in Turkey. Unlike our competitors, we create order proof files through photography during the pick-up of products from their warehouses and delivery to the address, make delivery by appointment, provide premium delivery service in the field of XL logistics by using ‘route optimization infrastructure such as fast delivery’, address and measurement verification solutions.” Erhan Güneş explained the details of the premium service offered by Octovan Expres as follows:
100 percent accurate address delivery
“Thanks to the photographic pick-up and delivery service provided by Octovan Express, the manufacturer can see how the customer order is picked up from the warehouse and delivered to the customer’s address, behind the door. In this way, in case of objections that may arise after delivery, we can provide an instant response to customer and supplier requests by delivering the product at what time, how it was received by whom, and how it left the manufacturer’s warehouse with a digital evidence file. Thanks to the new generation route optimization we realized as a result of a one-year study for vehicles that pick up and distribute products in the field specifically for XL delivery, suppliers or customers can instantly make address changes, pre-distribution sales cancellations, and date changes in scheduled deliveries. In addition, the delivery date can be changed during the SMS or automatic IVR (voice response system) call we send to the customer before distribution. Currently, our appointment delivery rate is over 5 percent. On the other hand, thanks to our 3-stage address verification system, we deliver with 100 percent address accuracy. Thanks to the barcode tracking system, we have managed to eliminate the possibility of cross delivery since 2021.”
“Our platform will be updated with new solutions”
Pointing out that Octovan Express also produces the software and content it needs during XL delivery service, Güneş said, “Octovan Express Driver and Warehouse applications, Octovan Express Supplier Dashboard platform and route optimization integration, Octovan Express Order Management Platform, which provides content such as order tracking, driver assignments, transportation team performance reports, order performance reports, are some of our 100% domestic and 100% national software developed within Octovan.” Informing that the Octovan Express platform will be updated with a new version this year to provide new solutions, Güneş said, “We will add new solutions such as artificial intelligence-supported customer management, call center management, artificial intelligence-supported product control systems, online sales module and pricing to our application with the new infrastructure.”
